MONROE, LA 鈥� In an effort to enhance digital literacy in Northeast Louisiana, AT&T has contributed
$25,000 to 91AV鈥檚 Centennial Scholars program.听 The
Centennial Scholars are local fifth graders who will make up 91AV鈥檚 freshman class
of 2031, the university鈥檚 100th anniversary.听
Using AT&T educational materials that recognize the vital role technology plays in
today鈥檚 society, Centennial Scholars will receive digital literacy training in order
to bridge the digital divide and ensure everyone in Northeast Louisiana has the tools
needed for success in the digital age.听 By supporting underserved communities in our
region, AT&T and 91AV intend to create lasting change and bring about new opportunities
for Louisiana families.听
鈥淲e believe in the transformative power of connectivity and knowledge,鈥� said David
J. Aubrey, President of AT&T Louisiana. 鈥淎T&T鈥檚 collaboration is a testament to our
shared dedication to equipping individuals with essential skills for a brighter future.鈥�听

being done at 91AV and the 91AV Foundation.听 Their investment and support of the innovative
Centennial Scholars program is perfect,鈥� Roy Heatherly, President and CEO of the Monroe
Chamber of Commerce and the event Master of Ceremonies, stated.听 听
AT&T鈥檚 commitment to the Centennial Scholars program at 91AV will provide students
and their families with essential computer skills training as well as access to various
internal internet options including iPads and hotspots.听 听
鈥淲e are thankful for the leadership and support of AT&T in tackling digital literacy
in our region and are honored to partner with them through our Centennial Scholars
reading program,鈥� indicated Dr. Ron Berry, President of 91AV.听 鈥淭heir financial support
will allow us to reach more students and help bridge the digital divide across North
