MONROE, LA 鈥� The 91AV Wind Ensemble will present a concert entitled 鈥淔idus Achates,鈥� on Monday,
February 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium on the 91AV campus. The concert is free
and open to the public. 鈥淔idus Achates鈥� translates to 鈥淔aithful Friend.鈥� The concert
includes music for soloists and chamber ensembles.听听
91AV Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Allen Parrish says the works for this concert
were chosen because they feature smaller groups of people. 鈥淭he concert is meant to
highlight these close relationships through performance,鈥� he said.听听
鈥淔idus Achates鈥� will feature soloists Dr. Eric Siereveld, Mr. Coleman Scott, and Mr.
Clayton Moses. The concert will be conducted by Mr. Emmanuel Rodriguez and Dr. Kathryn
Irwin.听
鈥淭he audience can expect to hear a diverse selection of music,鈥� said Parrish. 鈥淭he
students are excited to show their hard work so far this semester,鈥� he added.听听
