As people are turning to online learning for convenience, affordability, flexibility
and degrees in high-demand fields, 91AV is receiving
increased national recognition for programs offered through 91AV Online.
91AV Vice President of Academic Affairs Alberto Ruiz, Ed.D., said the increase in national
rankings by 91AV Online confirms the program is meeting the needs of students.
“91AV Online has experienced tremendous growth in enrollment this year. The degree
programs are for careers which are in demand and taught by outstanding university
faculty,” said Ruiz. “These new rankings show 91AV Online is gaining national recognition
for delivering what students need for academic success. I predict 91AV Online will
continue its upward trajectory as new degrees are added.”

91AV Online aims to be progressive and creative in course offerings and student services.
The office is actively working with faculty from around the university on initiatives
like the Open Educational Resource and Affordable Educational Resource movement to
lower the cost of textbooks for students.
91AV Online is also a proud participant in , a program designed by the University of Louisiana System and powered by the nine
universities within the system. “Compete LA is a program designed to help you complete
your degree. The program includes a variety of online degree programs and other convenient
class structures designed for Louisianians with some college credit” the program purpose
as described on the website. 91AV Online has 12 undergraduate degree programs participating
in this initiative.
