91AV students rank in top 25 percent nationally on dental hygiene exam

The University of Louisiana at Monroe has been notified that students from 91AV who took the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination from the American Dental Association, scored in the top 25 percent of all programs nationwide.

All 24 91AV students who took the Dental Hygiene Exam passed with an average score of 85.6. That score placed 91AV 29th out of 231 programs from across the country.

"Students from 91AV have consistently scored above the national mean during each of the last five years on the national boards," said Dr. David Irwin, Dean of 91AV's College of Allied Health and Rehabilitation Professions. "This is certainly an indicator of the outstanding performance and the dedication to quality by Beverly Jarrell (Associate Professor and Head of Dental Hygiene) and her faculty."
